I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Russell Sage College and a Master of Science in Childhood Education from Sage Graduate School. While an undergraduate, I majored in sociology and minored in Dance. I have a wide range of teaching and tutoring experience. During graduate school, I spent a lot of time tutoring students, giving them personal attention in needed areas. I also worked as a teaching assistant for a graduate level course in suicide intervention and prevention. I've also taught seminars in this area outside the academic environment. My strongest subject areas include American and European history, reading, and writing. I am also proficient at editing essays, helping students to develop and learn study skills, and teaching them how to organize their work. When I am not teaching, my favorite hobbies are reading and exploring my adopted city of Boston. Growing up in Schenectady, NY, it was always my dream to live in this great city. My vision as an educator is to make learning all-inclusive. In the perfect learning environment, every learner's needs are met. As a teacher, I work with my students to discover what style of learning complements them and will help them master the discipline.
